BEVERLY HILLS, CA –
A private plastic surgery clinic in Beverly Hills has chosen ten lucky homeless people to get new noses.
“It’s a great way for these people who live hard and challenging lives to start the new year with a brighter, more positive outlook. Looking good physically is probably the biggest factor for creating real happiness,” explained chief plastic surgeon Ryan Gastin.
The idea stemmed in his mind a few months ago when he read about a beauty salon giving free pedicures and manicures to the homeless.
“At that moment, the idea exploded in my head and I thought to myself: a pedicure lasts a month, but a nose job lasts a lifetime” he recalled.
“I cried when I saw my new nose, ” the first patient, Eldon Jones, said. “I looked so good. Now if a dentist doctor could just give me some new teeth I could maybe get some self-esteem.”
“A lot of homeless are homeless because they are ugly, unattractive,” explained the surgeon who has built a lucrative franchise of clinics all over the country. “That’s a hard reality, but pretty people are more successful in this world. I feel so good about myself being able to help them. I’ve given myself a lot of pats on the back.”
