BRISTOL, Connecticut –
ESPN announced Monday they feel a bowl game with the two worst teams in FBS (Division-1) football would be a huge draw.
“We’ve all heard of the ‘laugh factor,’ Bob Bisley from ESPN said. “Imagine the two worst teams struggling to play the game we call football. Would anybody even be able to score? How many would tire out before the end of the game? It’d be like watching a clown fight.”
ESPN acknowledged the idea might be seen as cruel, but they feel there is a market and their job is not to be moralists, but to provide fun, entertaining programming for their viewers.
If the bowl happened this year, it would have likely pitted the University of Idaho against Kent State.
